When I use KDE as my window manager the status bar iin Kdevelop displays correctly.  However if I switch to Windowmaker or Blackbox (possibly others)  the status bar in Kdevelop is black and not informational text is readable.  Thus the user is unable to read the line number at which the cursor is at or any other information displayed there.
