Hi,

The routing service doesn't indicate roundabouts, highway exits, etc. but just indicat « drive left », “drive right”, etc. (with OpenRouteService for instance)

Could marble give indications about roundabouts and exits, as google maps does for instance ? They are often very useful information to find the right direction, especially when you print the route on a paper instead of using a smartphone or GPS.

Adrien

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use the routing service (« Trajet » in french)
Actual Results:
The roundabouts, exits, light, etc. are not indicated

Expected Results:
they should be :-)

OpenRouteService does not deliver this information and there's nothing we can do about it for this routing service unfortunately. Marble 1.4 will have a nicer display of its information though (proper icons for the turn types that are known by OpenRouteService).

Roundabout information is supported by Monav, the offline routing algorithm which you can use in Marble when you install monav-routing-daemon on your system.

In the upcoming stable release 1.4, two additional online routing services will be available in Marble. One of them, MapQuest, has the information you're looking for (and generally provides quite nice turn instructions). You can find a preview of it at http://edu.kde.org/marble/current_1.4.php (see the screenshot in the Routing Extensions section).
