Are there any interests in having flightgear http://www.flightgear.org/ map support in marble ?  I wrote a related position provider plugin.

Yes, sure. Can you create a review request for it at git.reviewboard.kde.org, please? Use 'marble' in the groups fields of the reviewers.

Afaik flightgear runs on Linux as well, so the plugin is not only for Windows, right?

Plugin is in master.
