Description tehomail 2012-04-24 11:14:21 UTC
The login greeter is placed in middle of two monitors when Twinview is used. I have 2x 1920x1080 monitors so Twinview combines them in to a 3840x1080 space. The greeter doesn't apply proper multihead handling so the greeter is centered around that resolution.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Apply Twinview on NVIDIA hardware and save it to xorg.conf
2. Launch lightdm-kde
Actual Results:
The login box is in the middle of the two monitors.

Expected Results:
Login box should be centered on the primary monitor. The second monitor should display only the background.

Twinview is NVIDIA spesific technology for handling multiple monitors. If I'm not mistaken it combines the monitors to a single "logical space" so to speak and doesn't involve XRandR.

The bahavior on KDM is that the login box is centered in the primary monitor and the second monitor only displays the background.
