Description Axel Braun 2012-04-19 07:42:04 UTC
a fresh user account on KDE 4.8.2, IMAP Resource created and successfully synchronized with Server. All mail there, all subfolder there, fine.

Created a filter rule for the account to filter mailing lists into the subfolder. After a restart of KMAIL2 the rule worked, and filters the the mailing lists into a subfolder.
But: All new mail in the incoming folder is now corrupted! Only the From, to and subject is displayed, see attachment 1 [details].
This corrupted mail is synced back to the IMAP server, see attachment 2 [details].
I verified by sending a mail to the affected account, content was removed as well. Mail marked as 'read' is obviously not affected.

This is really a severe problem...please help!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start KMAIL
2. get new mail
3.
Actual Results:
See above

What is you filter rule ?
Comment 4 Axel Braun 2012-04-19 08:11:56 UTC
If subject = [a word] move file to folder yxz
Additionally Bogofilter Spam filter is configured
Comment 5 Axel Braun 2012-04-19 15:58:55 UTC
After disabling all *all* filter rules - including Spam-Filter - mail is *not* corrupted any longer.

BTW, is it possible that the systems needs to be rebooted to recognize deleted filter rules? 'Just' a logout did not help....

The mails appear but with an empty body. No text, nothing. Checking on the server via webmail confirms the deletion of the text by kmail.
