In the first one the entries are moved, in the second are overlaped

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
    Enable the automatic ordering of the taskbar
    Open two windows
    Right-click on the taskbar
    Click on Taskbar Settings
    Click on Cancel

Expected Results:  
    Don't overlap
    Don't move to the right

Version:   KDE 4.8.2
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.19-generic
