In the documents view there is no border around the slides so as to see where the slide actually ends. a thin (1px?) border should be added,

I'm not sure I understand what your problem is. Please see the attached screen shot on how the border looks for me. 
Does that happen for all files of you? If it  is only with one file please attach the file and a screen shot.

I see borders using RC 2
