Version: 2.5-git (using KDE 4.8.0) OS: Linux After un-pausing a track the volume spikes to near 100%. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Happens every time a track is paused and unpaused Expected Results: The volume should not change when pausing and unpausing a track. I am using the pulseaudio veromix widget for volume control with the phonon-vlc backend.
I can't reproduce this here at all, current git build of today, vlc backend version 0.5.0
I can confirm this, versions as follows: Distro: Debian Wheezy Amarok Version: 2.5.0 (Apt Version: 2.5.0-1) KDE Version: 4.7.4 (Apt Version: 5:74) PulseAudio Version: 1.1 (Apt Version: 1.1-3) LibVLC Version: 2.0.0 (Apt Version: 1:2.0.0-0.1) VLC Backend Version: 0.5.0 (Apt Version: 0.5.0-1) GStreamer Backend Version: 4.6.0 (Apt Version: 4:4.6.0.0-1) How to reproduce: Play a song in Amarok, pause the song move the volume slider in Amarok to 50%, un-pause the song it jumps back to 100%) Note: The slider for LibVLC in KMix jumps back to 100% the slider in Amarok stays at what you set. Workaround: Switching to the GStreamer Backend cures this issue for me. I hope this issue is fixed. I'm going to stick with the GStreamer Backend for now.
I couldn't reproduce it as I have all my volume settings to 100% already and change the volume on an external tuner, silly me :( *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 296589 ***
