Description a.glazachev 2012-02-22 03:51:06 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS: Linux

see steps and results

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
. create recurrent event (for me, every month)
. move by mouse event to another day
. press "only such event" in dialog

Actual Results:
. event stays at the old day (not moved)
. if you try to open event's dialog, you will see new dates, also in recurrent tab (but we moved only current event)

Expected Results:
. event moved visially to the new date
. event's recurrent date doesn't changed

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-16-generic
Compiler: gcc

Git commit e294ee1c1e0ffa4389e3a775acb594d1f7ed0c7e by Sergio Martins.
Committed on 24/09/2013 at 19:12.
Pushed by smartins into branch 'master'.

Adjust recurrence parameters when moving events.

This is a long awaited feature.
For now it's only implemented for weekly recurrence, other types
have lots of corner cases.

Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 18:42:28 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 3 a.glazachev 2016-09-25 03:00:45 UTC
Bug exists but with the new symptom.
When I move recurrent (weekly) task from one day to another, I see small corrupted dialog (not resizable), it seems dialog size not calculated correctly.

Setup:
Kubuntu
Linux 4.4.0-38-generic #57-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial
Comment 4 Denis Kurz 2016-09-25 17:25:20 UTC
Thanks for reporting back, but one important piece of information is missing: Which version of KMail comes with Ubuntu 16.04.1? You find KMail's version via "Help -> Introduction to KMail".
Comment 5 a.glazachev 2016-09-26 01:50:44 UTC
Kmail 5.1.3, KDE Frameworks 5.18.0, Qt 5.5.1, xcb.
Comment 6 Denis Kurz 2016-09-26 06:24:11 UTC
Ok, setting to confirmed. Your feedback's appreciated!

Does this corrupted dialog still appear? If so, could you attach a screenshot?
