The stack trace is not useable (b/c it's pasted into the subject and
b/c it is from a RPM-packaged KMail w/o debug information).

The bug report isn't either because you have not given a way how to
reproduce the problem.

Closing. Feel free to reopen with at least a way to reproduce.

Marc

Hi
the bug #29148 reported from someone without additional informations is
happening to me as well.

As kmail is out of the mandrake binaries from kde-ftp kde.2.2-beta1 this
bug I think can be reproduced simply by:

1. have the kde-precompiled binaries installed on a clean Mandrake8 with all
updates (but not from cooker)
2. having several pop acccounts defined (in my case 6 different accounts)
3. define automatic lookup every 20 to 30 minutes
4. leaving kmail open the whole day.

It will crash at least once a day with the submitted crash info which I
include here again for reference:

[New Thread 1024 (LWP 1585)]
0x41253689 in wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
#0  0x41253689 in wait4 () from /lib/libc.so.6
#1  0x412c46ec in __check_rhosts_file () from /lib/libc.so.6
#2  0x409d85ae in KCrash::defaultCrashHandler (signal=0) at kcrash.cpp:197
#3  0x4116a467 in _IO_2_1_stderr_ () from /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3

Please have a look at it because I think this bug should be reopened and
given a closer look.

If I can be of further help pls. let me know

Andy
