Description sahinsureyya 2012-01-11 02:58:02 UTC
Version: latest git snapshot (using KDE 4.7.4)
OS: Linux

In the previous versions of Rekonq, I was able to add bookmarks either to the root bookmarks folder or to a bookmark subfolder by choosing "Add Bookmark" menu item available when I open the bookmarks folder. This item is not available with the current version of Rekonq. The only way to add bookmark seems to be the right click and choose "Add Bookmark" from the menu (and this adds the bookmark to the root bookmarks folder, i.e. not to a subfolder you would like to add to). Additionally, "Ctrl+B" shortcut key does not seem to be working as well. Another issue with the Bookmarks is that when I delete a bookmark with the right mouse menu, the bookmarks list does not update immediately, you have to restart Rekonq to see that the bookmark is deleted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a webpage and try to bookmark it.

As another issue, delete a bookmark item from the bookmarks list.

Actual Results:
You won't have an "Add Bookmark" option when you open the desired bookmarks folder. Additionally, key shortcut does not work too.

When you delete a bookmark, the bookmark list will not be updated until you close and open rekonq. After reopening, you will see that the item is deleted.

Expected Results:
I would expect that I would be able to add a bookmark by using the "Add Bookmark" item from the Bookmarks Button or the Bookmakrs Toolbar, as in the current version of Konqueror or previous versions of Rekonq.

Additionally, I would expect that when I delete a bookmark, the bookmarks list would be updated instantly.

I agree with the part about Ctrl+B. It has worked before. Sometimes, it seems it works with a fresh rekonq only, but I haven't noticed what could disable that shortcut.
