Well, Slidebar will disappear and only appear once you close and open rekonq again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Click on add a favourite on the "New Tab" homepage.
Add a new favourite by clicking on the empty new square.
Google any search.

Actual Results:  
You won't get the slidebar to appear

Expected Results:  
Well, slidebars should always be active on any long pages.... :o)

I think you are talking about scrollbar...  and this is a known bug targetted 0.9. If not, reopen this.
