Description radamanf 2011-12-21 14:17:53 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

Improvement request:

When a new message arrives, Kmail has ability to speak! Which is great but not enough: I don't want to listen to a standard text but have a proper functionality:

When a new message arrives, Jovie should say

New Message arrived from Linus Torvalds

(if Linus Torvalds is in the Address Book, falling back to email@domain without the TLD .com)

Or:

    Email about %MSG_SUBJECT

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:
Speak as human :)

Good news :) I want to see this in action, how can I integrate this into my 4.8.x version? Or I should wait until release of 4.12
Comment 3 Laurent Montel 2013-09-25 09:08:29 UTC
4.12 :)
4.8.x is very very old :)
PErhaps you can update to 4.11 to have more fixing but for this feature you need 4.12

I can't find how to enable this function. How do I do it?
