The first time KDE 2.2Beta 1 starts everything is fine i get the config wizard and everything is fine. I select Hi-color kde 2.2 with transparency and it works fine... until you restart kde. When youre back its impossible to launch the kmenu or right click on the desketop it just fails and doesnt display anything until you go back in kcontrol and respecify the style you want. The other one is this: A lot of crashes are happening in places where it shouldnt... -Starting kmail -Clicking anywhere but in the adress bar in konqueror makes it crash -Unable to change any of the properties of konsole (it crashes) Thanks (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
I had something similar happen to me a few weeks ago. I don't know where I learned it or why it worked but what I ended up doing was renaming the .kde directory in my home directory so kde had to create all new config files. It did fix the problem inelegant though it may have been.
