Description Michael Reiher 2011-05-08 19:18:52 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

When going back through older comics, using the back button, things appear a bit random and broken.

First, strips which were not retrieved at the respective day are simply skipped. Would be nice if the applet could fetch them.

Then the order in which strips appear is sometimes weird. For example I start today 8th of May (Error), going backwards: 4-22 -> 4-21 -> 4-20 -> 4-19 -> 4-18 -> Error -> 4-18 -> Error ... and so on, seems stuck there. Jumping to current strip gives Error, back: 4-18... Sometimes I had it wrapping around to current strip at some point.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Pressing back when an error occured jumps automatically to the last comic strip that had been cached locally. That is why you jump back to 4-18.

You can manually jump to a certain date if you want though.

In 4.6.3 it should also work to retrieve a comic strip later when it initially did not work. Say if you try to load 4-17 later it should work, if that one exists in fact.

Hmm, after updating the comic plugin (garfield) this already seems works now in 4.6.2 :) Everything fine now, thanks.
