(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: KDE 2.1.1
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

I think it would a interesting feature
to be able to drag and drop the tabs in order to change the order of the session on the "Konsole taskbar".

It is not my idea i think i have seen it in a MacosX video wich allows the same thing for the taskbar (another good idea to implement could you give the word to the right people ?)

Another interesting feature would be the possibility of renaming the session when double-clicking on the tabs. Double click -> a windows popup or directly on the button as in Windows(Tm) when you want to rename a file by clicking on his icon.

It's possible in CVS with menu or keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-Shift-Left/Right).

Double-clicking on a session button to rename it was also implemented.

This is not the same as dragging and dropping. It's true that there is an option in the menus and the keyboard shortcuts work but I have been using konsole for quite some time now and haven't seen it. I have tried the drag and drop though and it didn't work. It may be that its better to drop the whole thing on the Qt people who make the widget and just have them supply a "AllowDragDrop" method for the widget which will be off by default to preserve backwards compatibility.
