Description kk 2001-06-12 08:42:34 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: 1.0.1 (using KDE 2.1.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.4.0 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

konsole works nice when the aim is to aggregate a number of shells into a single window switching between them by pressing the buttons korrosponding to the respective shell session. Also if you need multiple windows you simply start additional konsole instances.

A nice addon would the ability to drag konsole session buttons out of the button bar giving you an existing konsole session in a new konsole window and the reverse: dropping sessions from another konsole window back into the first konsole aggregating sessions from multiple windows in a single konsole.

I hope I haven't missed something, but this wish HAS NOT BEEN complied so far.

Now I want to describe you what I think about: When I work on the desktop I usually open one
konsole after another. And at times I need to clean up the desktop and then I want to pick up
all single konsole windows and put them into one. In opposite to that it is possible to open two
parallel shells in one konsole window and sometimes there is the need to see them next to
each other what means: to give each an own window, means: to drop one of the shells out of
the konsole window and make a new konsole window where the "shell" has been dropped to.

Hope you will remind that

Best Regards
