(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: khtml Version: 3.0 (using KDE 2.2.0 \6alpha2) Severity: wishlist Installed from: Linux-Mandrake 8.1 (Cooker) Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Linux-Mandrake 8.1 2.96-0.50mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.5-1mdk OS/Compiler notes: When you put your mouse on top of a image containing the tag alt a tooltip appears with the contents of the value of the "alt" tag. It is very interresting because many webmasters write a description for a image (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)

[did you look at #26944 before submitting it?] There's no standard that says an ALT tag should appear when you hover over an image. Most of the time the ALT tag contains some stupid description like "foo.jpg (231432 bytes)" as frontpage does by default and it's only meant to appear when images are disabled. Tooltips upon images are supposed to come from the TITLE attribute and this is being implemented. Will add to the FAQ. -- David FAURE david@mandrakesoft.com faure@kde.org http://perso.mandrakesoft.com/~david/ http://www.konqueror.org/ KDE Making The Future of Computing Available Today
