Description Ed Guenthner 2011-04-08 12:51:25 UTC
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

After updating my ubuntu 10.10 to KDE 4.6.2 yesterday I noticed two problems with shutdown:

a) clicking the read "leave" button (lock/logout widget) didnt have an effect. Lock would work, but no reaction for leave. I then tried KDE menu->leave and clicked shutdown/restart there; again nothing happened.

b) A few reboots later, "leave" did seem to work, as a shutdown/restart seemed to start, but a few seconds later, display would switch to one of the text consoles ... and just stay there forever. In order to continue the shutdown, I have to press the power button of my laptop; than shutdown seems finish fine.

Reproducible: Sometimes
