Description 2011-03-28 05:49:39 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

When right clicking in desktop and choosing to configure it, you get the window 'Desktop Settings - Plasma Desktop Shell', selecting View tab shows all existent wallpapers, but if clicking in button 'Get New Wallpapers', selecting a wallpaper and then clicking in 'Install' button, that new wallpaper will not appear listed in the grid of existent wallpaper (in View tab).

I have installed some wallpapers using this method, and they all got stored in ~/.kde4/share/wallpapers and none is listed in View tab of 'Desktop Settings - Plasma Desktop Shell' window.

By the way isn't possible to configure any wallpaper through 'System Settings' window...

Shouldn't be possible to configure all KDE aspects from 'System Settings'?

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.36.2-desktop-2mnb
Compiler: gcc

CC'ing plasma-bugs, as Paolo Capriotti does not seem to be very active according to git log.

I can confirm the issue with two different machines running master.

Fixed by commit e5b7c4ab1281b1eb08adcb588b7aebefd6ef4362 to kdelibs master by aseigo, will probably be backported (the code path that triggered this is not present in kde-workspace 4.6, though).
