Description Edward Hughes IV 2011-03-09 15:57:19 UTC
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux

Immediately after the desktop appears upon login a crash reporting window appears alerting me of kded4's crash. This has been happening upon every login since I upgraded to 4.6.1 with the Kubuntu 10.10 PPA (x86_64).

When attempting to start from command line I get same results. As expected, many KDE services are unavailable or complain that kded cannot be contacted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Comment 1 Edward Hughes IV 2011-03-09 16:02:05 UTC
Removal of kde-config-tablet seems to have fixed the problem. I will notify the developer of that module.

This is still a loss for me, though. That module is a great way to configure Wacom tablets within KDE.
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2011-03-09 23:31:53 UTC
Instead of removing the KDE wacom support module, update it. The bug has long been fixed.
