While using standard use of my plasma desktop and looking through the application launcher, the desktop crashed causing my plasma desktop to have to restart.

I can confirm this bug. 
Exactly the same stack trace, many kde apps are crashing since last updates from yesterday.

No LSB modules are available.

No foreign repos, just the 11.04 ones.

I have this problem as well. This is EXTREMELY annoying. When I tried to report this bug using DrKonqui, it crashed. Every time. Then I tried to report the bug via apport-bug but that crashed as well. Even kmail crashes randomly but I don't know if there is a connection.
Luckily my browser doesn't seem to be affected.

Please look into this as fast as you can, as it makes working with KDE really difficult.

A lot of other kde applications behave verry unstable as well. I added a few backtraces of them. Please let me know if you need anything else.

This is an issue with a downstream XInput2 support patch to Qt. It's being tracked at https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/725959
