I have a recurring issue where I use 2 separate kmail instances (one from my lan and one remotely when I'm away) to connect to my home imap server. The issue is that once I connect with the 2nd kmail instance, the 1st instance stops being able to reconnect to the imap server. It continually shows the update throbber but no progress ensues unless I quit and restart kmail. When I click on an existing message,either it fails to retrieve it, or the messages start magically disappearing from the inbox list and don't return until I restart kmail. This time I clicked repeatedly on a message that wouldn't open (for the reason above of there being 2 instances) but it crashed on the repeat attempt.
