+1 Something like we had in kst 1.x would also be pretty cool: a filter lineedit, to filter and keep only items containing the typed string. As sometimes this may be too limited (e.g. to select plot from the current tab, the tab name not being visible) we could add a combobox, like in the change data file tool to select vectors from a given data source.
