After upgrading to these new versions, and a PC restart, amarok crashes at every start (it only displays the splash screen, and after a few seconds it crashes)
The said upgrade was done all at once (in the same session of manual update, within Yast).
It's hard to say which update is to blame ...

This is not an Amarok bug, but a problem with Nvidia driver updates in OpenSuSE. Please talk to your distribution.

I can confirm it's 100% a problem related to the nVidia driver v.260 .
After uninstalling the nVidia driver, things came back to normal again.
What I CAN'T understand though, is ... why did amarok and plasma digital clock applet "benefited" from this bug, and a lot other KDE applications didn't ...
