(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konsole Version: KDE 2.1.1 Severity: normal Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified If I select a string of text in Konsole and then right click there is no cut/copy/paste selection in the right-click menu. There also isn't any cut/copy/paste function in any of the menubar items (i.e. File Session Settings Help) This doesn't seem like something the developers would overlook but I cannot find any way to copy text out of a Konsole terminal window. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
Selecting text in Konsole automatically copies it to the clipboard. Clicking with the middle button (or simulated middle button) in Konsole pastes and in other apps the standard paste option will work. This is admittedly non-standard behavior to other KDE apps but is standard to xterm's. Konsole is somewhat of a cross-over between these two worlds. ----- Original Message ----- From: <schooley@engin.umich.edu> To: <submit@bugs.kde.org> Sent: Tuesday May 08 2001 5:37 PM Subject: Bug#25436: copying/pasting text > Package: konsole > Version: KDE 2.1.1 > Severity: normal > Installed from: Mandrake RPMs > Compiler: Not Specified > OS: Linux > OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified > > If I select a string of text in Konsole and then right click there is no cut/copy/paste selection in the right-click menu. Yes, but please note that on some configurations pasting with right-click does not work, or even pasting with middle-button does not work, because not all configurations have middle-button on mouse and both-click didn't work either.
