I deleted my original music folder & replaced it with a link to an ntfs partition which holds the main music collection. The first time I started amarok after this it seems ok, I cleared the palylist & it then crashed. Restarting it caused it crash every time. Rebooted the system, and the app still crashes. I deleteted the ~/kde4/share/config/.amarok startup files amarokrc & amraok-appletsrc, no change. Deleted the ~.kde4/apps/amarok folder - amraok starts up & starts scanning & then crashes.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Found the cause of this :
In the music directory I have a playlists folder - amaraok was loading the playlists from this folder. The problem as the playlist files were for my IPAQ, so the path was incorrect. Moving the playlist folder away from the scanned directory cured the problem.

Please upgrade to Amarok 2.3.2, this is already solved.
