Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux when I restart KDE Lancelot and KDED4 are shown to each be using 100% of one of my processors. Killing Lancelot does not kill the KDED4 process but when both are killed the session runs fine - meaning Lancelot works as it should. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: see details Actual Results: see details killing KDED4 does make a change to my system tray, one of the icons changes and the hidden/auto hide attribute of 1 or 2 apps in it are changed
seems to have been resolved in newer updates
it's back -both lancelot and kde4 are consuming a cpu's worth of cpu when restarting kde with (alt+ctlr+bksp)squared running beta 1 of 4.6 (64bit)
When you restart the system, does it behave differently? When you properly log out, and log in, does it behave ok?
if I restart the system it is fine if I logout and log in it is not fine - there is a Lancelot process still running after I do a logout
Version: svn 1202582 I can confirm that lancelot does not close after kde logout : |-lancelot(2723)-+-{lancelot}(2724) | `-{lancelot}(2728) |-lancelot(3407)-+-{lancelot}(3411) | `-{lancelot}(3435) |-lancelot(4340)-+-{lancelot}(4343 and so on.... Sometimes nepomukserver does not close too, so when connecting a USB pendrive nepomukservicestub(nepomukremovablestorageservice) and lancelot go to 100% cpu usage: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 2723 jef 20 0 239m 20m 15m S 102 2.1 8:10.76 lancelot 2942 jef 39 19 84560 10m 8312 S 96 1.1 7:45.84 nepomukservices
interesting(?) note even if I init 3 and then init 5 the problem appears (did the inits to up the graphics drivers)
This one should be fixed now (revision 1209158). If it remains with the next 4.6 release, please reopen the report.
