Description RussianNeuroMancer 2010-06-23 23:52:04 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS: Linux

KDE system settings not allow to use additional mouse button (Button6, Button7, etc.) as hotkeys. It's inconvenient for users, who have mouse with few more than two buttons and scroll.
Also using first five buttons (Button1 - left button, Button2 - right button, Button3 - scroll click, Button4 - scroll up, Button5 - scroll down) with modification buttons from keyboard (for example Ctrl+Button3 for pause playback in Amarok) not available too. Very strange.
Looks like serious bug. It's possible to fix it in KDE 4.5?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to use any mouse button as hotkey in KDE system settings.

Actual Results:
System settings not react to pressing mouse buttons.

Expected Results:
Allow to use this buttons like keyboard buttons.

When this bug will be fixed I think it's important to show warning message to user, if he try to use first five mouse buttons without midification key (like in Audacious player).
