Description Christopher Yeleighton 2010-06-23 21:53:25 UTC
Version: 0.6.0 (using KDE 4.3.5)
OS: Linux

I am unable to save the subject classification code; it is unset every time I open the metadata editor.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the image P1170553.jpg in Gwenview.
2. Tell Gwenview to edit XMP metadata.
3. Set Subject classification to standard reference code 13004005.
4. Apply changes and close the metadata editor.
5. Tell Gwenview to edit XMP metadata.
6. Examine the Subject classification.

Actual Results:
6. Unset.

Expected Results:
6. 13004005.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Not reproducible there. You need to press Add button to the right side of XMP editor to insert subject to the list, before to press Apply or Ok button. You can add more than one at the same time.

Comment 2 Christopher Yeleighton 2010-09-15 04:01:28 UTC
The interface is misleading. The button [OK] should be disabled until there is something to save. Making a change should enable both [OK] and [Apply].
Comment 3 Christopher Yeleighton 2010-09-15 11:07:10 UTC
Even more important: The [Add] button should accompany the code selector it is supposed to add, otherwise its purpose is unclear.
