This is a crash in libkthml which chokes on some CSS file it loads when the search plugin's home page is loaded. Reassigning to kdelibs. In the mean time: edit ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc and look for [SearchPlugin] SearchPluginEnabled=true Change the true in false, and KT will load without loading the search plugin, and the crashes should be gone.
Rather, just get updated packages, those that are not miscompiled. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 238705 ***
