Description PC LX 2010-05-01 20:22:46 UTC
Application that crashed: dolphin
Version of the application: 1.3
KDE Version: 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5)
Qt Version: 4.5.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-desktop-3mnb x86_64
Distribution: "Mandriva Linux 2010.0"

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was downloading a 310 MiB .tar.gz file, ZendStudio-7.2.0-x86_64.tar.gz from http://www.zend.com/download/360?start=true, and while the download was in progress I started dolphin, changed to the directory where the file was being downloaded to, and pointed the mouse at it. Dolphin immediately crashed.

While the download was in progress, restarting Dolphin, changing to the directory, and pointing at the file being downloaded always resulted in a crash. I was using Firefox to do the download, just in case that is relevant.

Thanks for the report, this issue has been fixed in KDE SC 4.4.0. For KDE SC 4.3 it should also help to update the strigi package.
Comment 2 Christoph Feck 2010-05-03 13:33:19 UTC
Peter, isn't this bug 205631? I see no fix for this bug yet; the code still uses "data" uninitialized (see upstream bug report).
Comment 3 Peter Penz 2010-05-03 17:07:12 UTC
Thanks Christoph, you are right. I've set it as duplicate to 205631.

I have tested with no torrents in the background with a freshly booted system. Still same behavior.
