Description Mikael Widersten 2010-04-29 20:22:06 UTC
Application: knetworkmanager (v0.9)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31.12-0.2-default i686
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.2 (i586)"

-- Information about the crash:
UMTS USB stick Huawei 1860 is detected by knetworkmanager but does not connect. The same procedure worked perfectly with Huawei 220. If attemting to trigger connection by clicking the modem entry in knetworkmanager causes crash of knm. I can connect with the modem inside Win XP and - this is at least to me curious - if I then reboot into linux (openSUSE 11.2) knetworkmanager finds the modem and connects. This is, however, not a preferred behavior requiring Windows to initiate the modem.

Lenovo X61s, openSUSE 11.2, KDE SC 4.4.2 (from Factory repository), Huawei 1860 USB modem with Swedish Tele2 as provider.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

All the reported problems were solved by upgrading ModemManager to ver. 0.3-3.2.
