Description Mohd Asif Ali Rizwaan 2010-04-07 10:43:46 UTC
Version: unknown (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Chakra)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-ARCH

restoring from a maximized window by dragging down the titlebar, causes the "advanced wobby window" settings not getting applied to the dragged-to-restored window!

The new kwin's feature of maximizing a window by dragging it to the top of the screen, is just awesome, and maximizing with wobbly works nicely, but "resotring the maximized" window by dragging down the titlebar, causes wobby windows settings to be ignored by the window, the window just "shakes" instead of glide like fluid which i have in my settings (kindly see the attachment)

How to reproduce:

1. enable wobby windows effect

3. now drag a window to the extreme right size, till it maximized 50% on the right side. or maximize a small window.

4. now click and drag down the titlebar to unmaximize the window and keep dragging!

we can see that the window is not fluid with the advanced settings, but the window behaves erratically/shaky/giving a jerky effect.

Expected Behavior:
------------------
un-maximing a maximized window using the new kwin drag-to-screen-edge-maximize and drag-titlebar-of-maximized-window-to-unmaximize; should not cause a window to lose it's wobby window's advanced settings!

kindly see the attachment for my settings... thank you.

my smooth wobby settings

as soon as we release the mouse button (stop dragging) the settings are applied! The bug is that the dragging is not having the advanced settings applied.

thanks!
