Description Ivan Wagner 2010-03-20 14:10:11 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs

PowerDevil does not check if the currently selected power profile is more
conservative than the one it is going to swich to.

Power Management settings (I didn't change them, but just for the record:
Profile Assignment
------------------
When on battery power = Powersave
When battery is at low level (25%) = Aggressive Powersave
When battery is at warning level (15%) = Xtreme Powersave

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Unplug AC Adaptor from laptop, PowerDevil activates "Powersave" profile.
2. Manually select "Xtreme Powersave", the most battery conservative power
profile.
3. When battery reaches 25%, PowerDevil switches to "Agressive Powersave"
profile.

Confirmed here using Kubuntu 9.10 + KDE4.4 SC debs. I was running in xtreme power saving mode, I hit 25% battery and it switched to aggressive.
