Description Mike Bridge 2010-03-16 20:52:37 UTC
Version: 2.3.0 (using KDE 4.4.1)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

I've got two issues when attempting to use ifuse to sync my iphone.

1) No matter how many files I transfer, I get two permissions errors per file.

2) If I attempt to transfer more than one album, only one album worth of tracks transfers. Seems to be some kind of counting error?

Debug output attached.

ipod: Do not set file permissions when copying tracks to ipods.

Just leave them as default as otherwise a dialog box will popup
after each copy to let you know that the permissions were
not able to be set which is not exactly ideal.

CCBUG: 231021

It hit me last night.. My phone is jailbroken. Is that possibly the root cause of this problem?
Comment 4 Mikko C. 2010-03-19 08:34:31 UTC
Thomas, did you try with git master? This patch was merged last night.
Comment 5 Mike Bridge 2010-03-19 11:10:33 UTC
I'm going to give it a try later this afternoon.

Shouldn't this bug be closed if the patch has been committed? (which git log confirms)
Comment 7 Colin Guthrie 2010-03-19 11:46:17 UTC
I got an email last night when the patch was committed saying that the email address used in my commit log was not a valid username here.... I should probably change my email here to be my mdv address as that's the one I typically use for contributions here.

I guess because I used CCBUG, it should have been magically closed, but due to this email address disparity that failed.

Not ideal, but I guess not a super common case. In an ideal world if the email addy of the commit author does not match a bko account it should still be allowed as a comment - not sure how that would be facilitated tho'.

Also I only fixed the permissions problem and this bug also reports a multiple album issue too.
Comment 8 Mikko C. 2010-03-19 12:34:55 UTC
iirc, BUG closes the bug, not CCBUG.
Anyway, closing, thanks.
