(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konqueror Version: 2.1 (using KDE 2.1.9 >= 20010310) Severity: wishlist Installed from: compiled sources Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.2 OS/Compiler notes: Hello! I am not sure if this wishlist has already been reported but I couldn't find it in the bug-report-database that's why I am posting it now. First I've to say that I really like Konqueror but there's one issue that could be improved (I think). For example if I want to copy a file from my user-directory to "/usr/bin" it doesn't work of course (because I don't have root permissions). Konqueror simply says "Access denied. Could not write to "/usr/bin". Therefore everytime I've to copy a file to one of these directories I've to switch to my console. It would be very convenient if "kdesu" would be started to ask the user for the root password (the same as with the "root modules" in kcontrol). Are there any plans to implement this? thank you for reading ... richard (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog)
