Version: (using KDE 4.4.1) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Why Dolphin allow to copy files to "mount points" panel? Where now are copies of these files?
Thanks for the bug report! I did not quite understand what the problem you found is. Could you please describe it in more detail? If you drag a file and drop it on a folder in the Places Panel, it can be copied/moved to that folder, but I assume you mean something else?

> > If you drag a file and drop it on a folder in the > Places Panel, > Where is this folder? Why I not see file on the Places Panel after copying > file? What I meant was: if you drop a file on a folder which is listed in the Places Panel, it is copied or moved to that folder. By opening that folder, you can check that the file is there. But it seems that your problem is something different? Please describe in detail what you did, what happened and what you expected to happen. Thanks!
Try to copy file not in to the folder from Places Panel, try to copy file to empty place on the Places Panel. If you copy big file, you will see copying process.
Thanks, now I can see what you mean: You can drop files on the empty area of the Places Panel, but it's not clear what happens with these files. Actually, I don't think that the file is copied anywhere, but in any case, I think the empty area of the panel should accept drop events only if a folder is dropped (to create a new "Place").
Right, it is bug, what I mean.
Still issue in Dolphin 2.0.
I can't reproduce this bug with Dolphin 2.1, can you?
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
I cannot reproduce it in 2.1 either, an entry for the file is created, that’s it.
