Version:           0.9.5 (using 4.3.5 (KDE 4.3.5), Gentoo)
Compiler:          i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12

Currently it starts every time with "Fit Width".
Yes - the toolbar can be customized but what's about remembering the last choice ?

The zoom is remembered per document already.
For new documents, you want #169516.
