Version: (using KDE 4.4.0) Installed from: Unspecified Linux Please have the Snap Windows effect work on new windows, not only on windows that are dragged or resized. This feature would help prevent a common gotcha: Windows that opened in the upper right of the screen yet not maximized do not close when the user slams the cursor against the upper right corner and clicks, rather, the maximized application _behind_ gets closed instead. Snap Windows prevents this from occurring because the window can never be so close to the corner as to be misleading, however, the feature currently does not work on newly-opened windows.
AFAIK the screen edges are considered when placing windows. Personally I cannot remember that any window opened in the right upper corner with placement policy smart. I think it is a too rare issue to consider spending more time on it.
FTR: a) i doubt this ever was related to window snapping b) this should be no-issue with compositing anyway, because the deco (oxygen) is no longer xshaped but just transparent in that case (and this is the actual issue, only maximized windows used to have unshaped decos, thus catching the cursor in the top right edge)
