What I was doing when the application crashed:

I may have switched desktops after asking for the restore.

If I did so it would suggest that perhaps switching desktops while app is
bringing up windows (I had >=5 Chrome windows open) tickles the bug.

I don't think there was anything very complicated in the Google windows,
e.g., no open tabs to YouTube or other sites which would start one or
more multimedia plugins going.
