Version: 1.3 (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages When I adjust the view properties to personal settings, they are not kept the next time dolphin is opened. It happens for both settings: use common view properties for all folders, and remember view properties for each folder.
Thanks for the bug report! I cannot reproduce the problem. Which Kubuntu release do you use? And which file system? If you enable "remember view properties for each folder", are ".directory" files written to a folder if you change its view properties?
I have installed Kubuntu karmic 9.10, regarding file systems, well both root and home partitions are ext4. Remember view properties is enabled and when I change the view settings in one folder the .directory file is updated as well as the view according to the new settings. However if I check apply view properties to All folders and Use as default for new folders, these selections do not work. Double checked this bug (http://techbase.kde.org/Contribute/Bugsquad/BugDays/DolphinDay1#Bugs_that_are_RESOLVED) Cannot reproduce this bug using KDE SC 4.4.5
