Useless eyecandy, but very popular judging by all the OS X Dock 'clones' on kde-look.org KSmoothDock (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=6585) is one of those clones. This one includes 'regular' icon zooming much like Kickers icon zooming, but with animation. Perhaps the code for icon zooming in KSmoothDock could be used as a near drop-in replacement for Kicker's?
Aaron tells for months that he has the code for this ready. :-|
i have one remaining race condition to work out/around and then i'll be committing it. this will definitely be in 3.4. only what, 3+ years after the original request? ;-)
