Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: SuSE RPMs Except the 22×22 one, in all sizes the "page-zoom.png" is acutally the "zoom-out.png" file. I think the minus sign is not necessary inside the magnifying glass.
This bug still occurs in KDE 4.6 Beta 2.

Yes, of course, I try it :) As I can see, you changed page-zoom in some sizes in the previous years, so I break down this to different cases: In the size 128×128 the actions/page-zoom.png is not an ordinary magnifying glass, rather than a magnifying glass with a minus sign inside it. This suggests this is a "zoom out" action. I think the icon would be better without the minus sing. This was the original report. But in the meantime you changed the page-zoom.png for all of the other sizes, so the above mentioned don't stand for them any longer. However, in sizes 16×16, 22×22 and 32×32 the actions/zoom-select.png has the same problem. It doesn't show that you can zoom onto a selection, rather than you can zoom out from a selection. Interestingly, the same file in the size 48×48 appears OK in this regard.
