That would be because it's not an HTML page. It's an Atom news feed.
Firefox renders that page because it has a sort of RSS reader integrated. If you want you can ask for XML support on bug #61395. Thanks. @Maksim: I suggest to close this as invalid
Please at least offer some indication that the page is not renderable in konqueror. From the link alone ( http://hgbook.red-bean.com/feeds/comments/ ) you can't tell that. SUGGESTION: If Content-Type: header is: application/atom+xml <or similar> application/rss <or similar> <other ...?> the program would present page: This page is <content-type> and not HTML, [CLICK] here to continue loading. An example: This page is application/atom+xml and not HTML, [CLICK] here to continue loading.
Do you have kdepim installed? It really ought to just ask to open in akregator...
This is GNOME, where I use konqueror as file manager. No other KDE programs installed.
@Marksim: I'm using current trunk, but konqueror doesn't tell me to open the feed using akregator
