Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Setting application shortcuts in the following location fails:
Kmenu icon -> Menu Editor -> select an application -> Advanced -> Select Current short key
The shortcut seems to be saved, but trying to activate it does nothing.

In contrast, setting shortcuts in the following location works:
System Settings -> Input Actions
