Version: (using KDE 4.3.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package No matter which search engine you set as standard (in the weshortcut settings), rekonq will always use the google one. If I recall correctly, this behaviour was "hardcoded" into rekonq... Imho that should be changed :-)
Created attachment 36400 [details] patch that fixes issue I don't know why it was hardcoded, I guess by mystake, should be fixed now.

Jonas's patch does not work as it not work with "not dotted relative urls". Anyway, no need to fix it as that ALL that code will be removed with the "awesome url bar" introduction.
I also vote for this bug to fix. Additionally, search always uses ':' as separator, even if I confiugre it to be ' ' (space). So, simple typing 'test' in location bar leads to searching for 'gg:test' keyword in google.
"Awesome URLbar" is coming soon to mainline rekonq. Let's hope it'll fix this :-)
Fixed removing that feature :) We are reimplementing it better in the "awesome" bar
