Description John 2009-08-08 20:47:52 UTC
Application that crashed: plasma-desktop
Version of the application: 0.3
KDE Version: 4.3.00 (KDE 4.3.0)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.28-14-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.04

What I was doing when the application crashed:
Running Ubuntu 9.04 w/ Kubuntu backport of KDE 4.3 on a HP 6324 laptop. After opening the laptop, I proceeded to place a network share from my Network listing into the Desktop folder, simple drag and drop. I did one that listed as remote:/ and one that listed as remote:/PorthosSDLs.

Hovering over remote gives me a list of 3 shares on Porthos (Windows Vista Shared Folders that I added into there earlier) as well as the basic Network, Network Services and Samba Shares options. Hovering over the remote:/PorthosSDLs one does one of 2 things, in both cases a crash follows. It will either show the loading image, which leads to the next one, or go straight to the next one, which is say it is unavailable, does not exist. I've managed to recreate this 3 times so far without fail. PorthosSA and PorthosSB both do the same as well. PorthosSDLs is truthfully under smb://porthos/Seedbox DLs where as SA is Storage A and SB is Storage B. SDLs is also accessible through Storage A/Seedbox DLs

I didnt spot any bugs with the same exact symptoms, though I'm sure they exist. I'm pressed for time, so cant go on a real and true search for it at this second...

Otherwise, KDE 4.3 is actually very very nice, and I'll be keeping it as my main desktop for a while to come. Heck, even my wife likes it 10x more then Gnome. So otherwise, great job, especially considering this is the only problem I've had with KDE 4.3 so far while Gnome would have an issue once every couple of days at least.
