(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kdesktop
Version: unbekannt (KDE 2.1 Beta 2)
Severity: normal
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.2.16 i686 (SuSE)

Hi there
I really don't know why but for several times my desktop icons disappeared. I could manage to get them back
by deleting my .kde2 directory. As soon as I do this all icons come back but aren't placed at their correct
position they all reside in the upper left corner of the desktop.

Hope you guys will fix it because it's really frustrating.

Cheers
Ronny Multrus

This bug wasn't there in beta2 AFAIK. This is about a more recent version
isn't it ?

Already fixed (update kdebase/kwin if you use snapshots or CVS)

If you also get empty directory listings in konqueror then that's the
glibc bug update glibc.
