(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: konqueror Version: 2.0.1 Severity: wishlist Installed from: Mandrake RPMs I was wondering if there could be a setting to report the amount of disk free space in the status bar of the view. (kinda like windows explorer or krusader) I am just getting so sick of typing "df" when I need to find a floppy with free space. (submitted via bugs.kde.org)
Hi, I think this bug should be reopened. btw This one is a dup of it: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24143 As kde&konq get better and better it gets more and more rediculous that such a trivial but enourmous helpful feature is not implemented. The recent discussions in this thread http://dot.kde.org/1053737099/ show also several demands for this. When the user has to open a konsole and type df, somethings wrong in your desktop environment... (And the RMB on any file solution isn't really a good one...) regards
You don't actually need to use "df" to know the free space on a disk or a partition. Just do right-click on the background of your window then "Properties" will show you this vital information. Any way, that's true that Konqueror should show it all the time. That would be much better than "X Items" which is totally useless even when items are selected because the number of available or selected items is detailed aside.
